There’s something about the sea that gets me. I remember when I was young. I hated sea creatures. Didn’t want to touch them, didn’t want to look at them, didn’t want to imagine them swimming around my legs. I was afraid of the ocean. Almost being swept out to sea when I was 11 didn’t help.

These days, I’ve come to love everything about the sea. The smell, the docks, the beach, even the fish (though I still maintain that they are supremely butt-ugly creatures).

Long story short, I jumped at the chance to go down to Oido last Sunday afternoon and eat live octopus. The company was great, the weather was fine, and the tentacles tasted quite nice. I can’t ask for much more. Well, except maybe that you look at these pictures.
